About Kat and Dave Melo

Nice to meet you!! We’re an upstate nature loving homeschool family with one child and a sweet fox terrier who loves hiking trails and beautiful views! We’ve been collecting NP stamps and Junior Ranger badges for a few years but we decided it’s a good time for us to stay home and share the van with other likeminded traveling families! On our travels we have been to Cayuhoga NP, Blackhills NF, Badlands NP, Mount Rushmore NP, Cleveland, Chicago, Ithaca, Watkins Glen... to name a few! Tho small, this camper van has had everything we’ve needed to see the sights and keep our budget relatively friendly! (Gas mileage is much better than an RV). We are a mechanical family so the van has had a full overhaul of upgrades including a new engine converted from diesel to gasoline, solar, new suspension, tires, swing out spare tire, modern refrigeration, interior, exterior led lights and most recently a car seat tether.
